MP, Koraput also visits Koraput regularly( his coming is like a visit from another place as the Distric Administration is yet to give him an official quarters and hence ,he stays in Circuit House like any other visitors everytime he visits Koraput ).

I am obsessed with Rabindranath Tagore and his poem ‘Where the Mind is Without Fear’ from my school days. My late father being a journalist and Freedom Fighter has imbibed in me a sense of speaking the truth. That was my problem when I was on a job and is now too.

People’s representatives don’t have time these days to face the naked reality. My young friend Shantakar Chelapila from the tribal district of Koraput has this observation which I report to the larger world:

‘Very often we say that Koraput region doesn’t get attention by the state government at Bhubaneswar as important personalities rarely visit .

But over a couple of days, we have seen the following important personalities visiting Koraput.

1.Chief Secretary of Odisha
2.5T Secretary
3.Health Director
4.Forest & Environment Minister
5.Agriculture Minister
6.Transport Minister 7.Education Minister
8.Chairman of Mo College Programme
9.Mission Shakti Advisor
10.Railway & Communication Minister from
Government of India

MP, Koraput also visits Koraput regularly( his coming is like a visit from another place as the Distric Administration is yet to give him an official quarter, and hence, he stays in Circuit House like any other visitors every time he visits Koraput ).

May we hope for the best to happen for the Koraput region with all these visits within such a short period of time even if someone says that all these visits were done for the possible Panchayat & Urban Body elections in the state?’

What he forgot to ask is :

Bureaucrats, people’s representatives and Ministers are automatically receiving all the benefits from the government. Where do the common people stand?

It is a bigger problem if we discuss about the state of Odisha. Two of the MPs are fighting cases of cruelty against women or dowry torture. Now that MP Achyuta Samanta's empire KIIT and KISS have come under the purview of public inspection, the first question that should be raised is if all the land on which his empire has been built belongs to him and his office, or some of the lands have been encroached upon and acquired illegally, by force, which legally belongs to others, as reported from time to time!

Good people are no more needed. Bold frankness and honesty in life and living should be hidden traits and not brutally open. Nowadays, people hardly have any time for facing the naked reality!
