But two of my elder sisters Jhuunu Nani alias Rashmirekha Mahapatra and Jayeenani alias Jayanti Mahapatra had a lot of faith in my writings. Every time we used to meet,Jayeenani used to ask if I had written a new poem. She was a sincere reader. She used to write simple and lyrical poems.

In the early years of growing as a writer I used to send poems to many magazines, and not much was published. All India Radio used to return.Except Prajatantra Sahitya Bibhaga ,Dharitri Saptahiki,Swarajya Kishore Mahal and a few new ones,no other magazine was publishing me.So desperate was I that once Suryabhaina  told me that my poem has been published in Asantakali and I treated him with tea and Singhada. But actually it was not there.Alas, these days so many magazines write to me and I am unable to cope with their demand.

The other craze I had was to be an editor.I collected Rs 10/- each from about 25 friends with a poem to bring out an anthology and a poet friend Ghana Parida vanished with the poems and the collected money giving me false hope that he will print it and give the same to me.

And one day I discovered her poems with my friend Sudhanshu, who was two years senior to us,but dropped from Engineering after two years of study ,may be due to ragging and took admission in our batch. It took me a year to find out the reason, but I could.Yes,they were in love..

I will not discuss much about the love between Jayeenani and Sudhanshu.I only remember a mistake.I used to write stories those days and started writing real life incidents as stories. Once Sudhanshu  narrated an incidence of their mis-understanding  and I published it as a story in a magazine.I repented later and could not speak to Jayeenani for months. But so great was she that she let the time  wash out all the wrongdoings of mine.Life went on as usual. In due course Jayeenani passed MA and joined a private college as a Lecturer.

But what happened to Jayeenani's lyrical poems....
