Naveen Patnaik approves infra projects worth Rs 166 crore in Odisha

BHUBANESWAR (INDIA): Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has given approval to the infrastructure projects, worth Rs 166 crore, for the construction of bridges and roads in the state.nn”Initiated major infrastructure projects that will give a boost to connectivity and drive socio-economic progress in the districts. The work orders have been issued for four major road and four bridge projects and will be undertaken at a cost of Rs 166 crore,” said Patnaik.nnThe road and bridge projects will hugely benefit people in the districts of Kendrapara, Ganjam, Cuttack, Angul, Balangir, Jagatsinghpur, Sundargarh and Bargarh districts. Improved connectivity will bring accelerated development to the regions. It will also impact the whole state.nnThe bridges will be constructed over Anga, Jira, Biluakhai and Ib rivers in the state, they said.n

nn”I am happy to share that Jamujhadi-Basudevpur-Dhamra road will be upgraded on PPP mode. State Government, Dhamra Port Company Ltd & DRDO will equally share costs of the Rs 225 crore project. The tender will be floated soon. This road will facilitate easier transportation of minerals and cargo to and from the port. It will become a hub of economic development in the State,” he added.nn”I have directed timely execution and completion of all projects in the interest of our people,” Patnaik said.nn
