BCCI announces Rs 50 lakh each for India women’s team member

NEW DELHI (INDIA): The Indian cricket board (BCCI) on Saturday announced a cash prize of Rs 50 lakh for each member of the Indian team for their performance in the ICC World Cup in England.nnThe support staff of the team will receive Rs 25 lakh each.nnIndia stunned six-time champions Australia to reach their second ever final in the World Cup and will play England in the final at Lord’s tomorrow.nn”I would like to congratulate the Indian Women’s Cricket Team for their exemplary show in the ICC Women’s World Cup,” said Committee Of Administrators (CoA) chairman Vinod Rai.nn”The team has shown tremendous character and the girls have raised the bar with each passing game under the able leadership of Mithali Raj.nn”The Women’s World Cup has been widely followed across India and this team’s spirit and performance on the field has won admirers all over the world.
