C L Ruala appointed new Mizoram Congress vice president

AIZWAL: Ruling Mizoram Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president Lal Thanhawla today appointed C L Ruala, the lone Lok Sabha member from the state, as vice president of the state party unit.nnRuala replaced R Lalzirliana, who was expelled from the primary membership of the party on Monday last.nnLalzirliana was expelled due to alleged anti party activities and for refusing to reply and give explanation to the show cause notice served by the party disciplinary action committee on September 11.nnHe resigned as cabinet minister from the council of ministers led by chief minister Lal Thanhawla on Friday last.nnMizoram is scheduled to go to poll by December this year.nnSource: Press Trust of India
