CSIA, RwandAir kick off direct flight operations between Mumbai and Kigali

NEW DELHI (INDIA): With an endeavor to strengthen and offer seamless air connectivity, Mumbai?s Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA) added yet another international route for travelers between the African city of Kigali and the Mumbai metropolitan.nnIn affiliation with the national carrier of the Republic of Rwanda – RwandAir, the airport announced the commencement of non- stop flight operations, four times a week, starting today, as per the below schedule:n

nThe aircraft will be B737-800, RwandAir?s young Boeing Next generation Fleet, offering dual class cabin.nnPassenger Traffic and Trade between Mumbai and Africa has always been significant. Mumbai is Africa?s major gateway comprising 70% of capacity deployed between India and Africa. In CY 2016, 0.8 million passengers travelled between Mumbai and Africa, growing at 8% annually. Mumbai strategic geographical positioning acts as a major transfer hub for passengers between South East Asia and Africa.nnCSIA, Mumbai is excited to welcome RwandAir, flying directly between Kigali and Mumbai with 4 weekly flights. The non-stop air connectivity will not only increase tourism but will also enhance business opportunities, strengthening the relationship between the two nations.nn
