He is a 1987 batch IPS Kerala cadre IPS officer.nnPrior to this position, he was working as Additional Director General of Police (SS&T) looking after Road Safety and Traffic Management in Kerala, protection of women, affairs of Non-resident Indians, Nodal officer for Anti- Human trafficking and over all Security of National Games-2015nn”As Inspector General of Border Security Force was looking after security of India Pakistan Border of Gujarat and Rajasthan for five years. Worked for strengthening of Border Security of Rann of Kutch and Sir Creek. Worked for enhancing the coastal security area of Gujarat, was responsible for upkeep of morale of large force in addition to administration, modernization, training, sports, development of the infrastructure,” according Sinha blog.nn”As Inspector General of Police Administration Kerala looking after entire Kerala Police Force, Chief vigilance officer of Kerala Police, Chief of Forensic Science establishment, responsible for modernization, looking after the establishment of around sixty thousand people, their training, procurement of equipments for entire police and matters of policy relating to up gradation of Kerala Police, man management, deployment and general management,” he wrote on his blog.nn”I was also working as Inspector General of Police, South Zone for almost three years having jurisdiction of nine districts that included Kochi city, the financial capital of Kerala and Trivandrum, the capital of Kerala.
