SHILLONG: Congress leader and former chief minister Mukul Sangma has been recognised as the leader of opposition, Meghalaya Legislative Assembly Speaker Donkupar Roy announced.nnHe said the assembly secretariat has issued notification in this regard.nnThe former chief minister was elected CLP leader. The Congress had won 21 of the 59 seats the party contested.nnSangma who won from Ampati and Songsak has resigned from his home constituency Ampati which he has represented since 1993.nnElection to Williamnagar constituency has been reprimanded following the death of one of the candidates.nnElections for the two seats are yet to be announced by the Election Commission.nnSource: Press Trust of India
