Sachin Pilot?s aggressive measures to curb coronavirus spread in rural Rajasthan

By Anil SharmannRajasthan?s deputy chief minister and Pradesh Congress committee (PCC) chief Sachin Pilot has been one of the most thinking leaders when it comes to dealing with checking spread of novel corona virus in the state especially in rural areas of state where over 70 percent of state?s population lives.nnSensing the danger of corona virus spreading in villages, Sauvé, courteous and charismatic leader Pilot was the first of the leaders in entire country handling panchayati raj department to have thought of providing sanitizers and other necessary equipments in the rural areas.nnFor the safety of people living in rural areas, he has allocated big fund to panchayati raj institutions to fight the corona infection.nnPilot is receptive to the core and is always thinking person, who thinks for the welfare of the people at large. According to him Rs 60 crore will be spent on safety kits and spraying of disinfectant to effectively prevent spread of corona virus infection in the villages.nn

nnThanks to Pilot?s move, Panchayati Raj Institutions will be able to distribute materials such as sanitizers, masks, hand gloves among other such protective and safety equipments and other essential things like spraying and distribution of sodium hypochlorite to prevent spread of corona infection.nnSensing that poor and helpless people are facing great difficulties due to the nationwide lockdown, Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot has been busy in devising strategies to provide relief to these persons, especially living in villages and remote areas.nnA sum of Rs 824 crores is soon going to be credited in the accounts of workers and labourers. Besides this the deputy chief minister Pilot has also given instructions to make payments on a regular basis to the workers engaged in Mahatma Gandhi NREGA works.nnBesides this, Pilot is constantly in touch with the chief minister Ashok Gehlot, who has invited him in various meetings to seek his suggestions and work on them. He through social media is also busy in communicating masses about benefits of social distancing and to follow rules laid down in lock down period.nnAs soon as he came to know about cases of corona virus in Tonk, which is his constituency, he took meeting of the officials through video conferencing.nnPilot as PCC chief is also motivating his fellow party workers to come forward and help people suffering on account of lock down.nnUnder his supervision Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee has set up control rooms at the state and divisional level.nn

nnHe is regularly taking updates from the control room in a bid to provide every possible help to common man in this difficult time.nnPilot is clear in his views and has communicated in clear terms to his colleagues that as political party workers, they have an obligation to provide maximum help and support to the common man in times of adversity.nnHe asked them to provide every help in ensuring proper supply of ration, medical and other facilities to the people. Pilot said that cooperation of administration and various social organizations, social workers, etc. should also be taken to spread awareness on Covid-19 and also to see that no one suffers from any scarcity of food items and medical benefits in the state.nnWhen he came to know that doctors and health care providers are facing some problems while conducting surveys, he asked his party workers to encourage common people to assist doctors and nursing staff in survey work.nnHe is also taking feedback from his party workers on present crisis and passing it to the administration so that effective steps can be taken.
